1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WaChat to PDF (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including users of the free plan and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

WaChat to PDF provides a tool to convert WhatsApp chat export files (.txt or .zip) into formatted PDF documents. The Service offers both a free client-side tier and paid server-side tiers with additional features including PII redaction, Bates numbering, and AI-ready JSON export.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will:

  • Only upload WhatsApp exports that you own or have explicit permission to process
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs
  • Not upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure
  • Comply with WhatsApp's Terms of Service when exporting chat data

5. User Accounts

An account is required to use paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

6. Billing and Payments

Pay Per Export: You are charged $4.99 per conversion at the time of purchase. This is a one-time charge with no auto-renewal.

Unlimited Monthly: You are billed $19.99 per month. Your subscription auto-renews unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the current billing period.

All payments are processed by Paddle. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of WaChat to PDF. You retain all rights to the chat content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the conversion service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that PDFs generated by the Service will be accepted by any particular court, legal body, or regulatory authority. You are responsible for verifying the suitability of output for your specific use case.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaChat to PDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
