Built to make WhatsApp evidence trustworthy

WaChat to PDF was created because screenshots and raw text exports keep getting rejected in disputes. Courts, HR departments, and legal teams need professionally formatted, paginated documents, not folders of screenshots or unreadable .txt files.

Why we built this

WhatsApp has become the primary communication channel for millions of personal and professional conversations. When disputes arise (whether in court, at a tribunal, or in a contract negotiation), those conversations matter. But getting them into a usable format has always been harder than it should be.

A raw .txt export is unreadable and carries no integrity proof. A folder of screenshots is easily dismissed: they can be edited in seconds and carry no timestamp verification. WaChat to PDF was built to solve that specific problem: take a WhatsApp export and turn it into a document that actually holds up.

The result is a professionally formatted PDF with real chat bubbles, embedded images, timestamps, and optional legal features including Bates page numbering, SHA-256 integrity hashes, and automatic PII redaction. Free for small chats. No account needed for basic use.

Our privacy model

Privacy was a design constraint from the beginning, not an afterthought. For small and medium exports, the entire process (parsing, previewing, and PDF generation) happens entirely inside your browser. Your chat never leaves your device.

For larger chats or when you need legal features like Bates numbering and redaction, our server pipeline processes the file and then deletes it automatically within 24 hours. We do not read your conversations, sell your data, or use uploaded chats for AI training.

verified_userFree plan (browser)

Your file never leaves your device. No upload. No server contact.

delete_foreverPro plan (server)

Files deleted automatically within 24 hours. Never stored permanently.

What "court-ready" actually means

The term "court-ready" describes the features of the output document, not a legal guarantee. Whether a document is admitted as evidence depends on the jurisdiction, the case, and the discretion of the judge, not on the tool used to create it.

What WaChat to PDF does is produce a document that meets the formatting expectations typically required for digital evidence: sequential page numbering (Bates stamps), a cryptographic integrity hash (SHA-256) that shows the document hasn't been altered, readable sender attribution, and precise timestamps.

For legal proceedings, we always recommend consulting a qualified solicitor or attorney. This tool helps with document preparation. It does not replace legal advice.
